We’re excited to announce the release of the 1.1 Update for UFO Taxi! Here's what's new:

New Features

• Xbox Controller Support: You can now play the entire game using an Xbox controller for a smoother and more immersive experience.
• Improved UI Icons: Button UI icons have replaced raw text prompts when input is required, making the interface more visually appealing and engaging.

Fixes

• Dialogue Triggering: Previously, some players had issues starting conversations with NPCs even when close to them. This has been fixed—now the game reliably detects dialogue initiation.
• Taxi Rotation Sounds: Fixed an issue where rotating the taxi left or right would sometimes trigger multiple rotation sounds instead of just one.
• Taxi Movement During Dialogue: The taxi now halts automatically when entering a dialogue to avoid the awkward situation of driving and selecting conversation answers simultaneously.
• Flip-Kickable Devices: Devices in the Dump can now be destroyed more easily by performing flips.
• Shortened Initial Dialogues: The opening conversations with Grape and Captain Orange have been shortened and slightly restructured based on feedback, allowing players to dive into the action faster. (We plan to review and shorten other dialogues in a future update.)
• Quest Progress Save Bug: If the player died and went to the main menu without respawning, the progress of recent quests wouldn’t save. Now, the game forces a respawn before returning to the main menu to ensure progress is preserved—and to maintain fairness by charging the repair fee.
• Improved Dialogue UI: NPC names in dialogues are now properly positioned and displayed in yellow instead of white for better readability and differentiation from dialogue text.

We’re already planning the 1.2 Update, which will introduce new content and address more feedback from players.
